For instance, one project was dedicated to analyzing logistical basic data, stocks, and movements from the supplier to the end customer. Warehouse processes, including IT, were closely scrutinized for a year, after which both the structures and material flows were adapted. While implementing the final concept, the team streamlined the distribution center to improve efficiency, which involved changing aisle widths, moving beams, and setting up a narrow-aisle warehouse.

Next step: a cutting-edge network structure

The project team then focused on enhancing the efficiency of Jenbacher Services’ spare parts logistics processes. By analyzing INNIO Group’s regional network structure, it developed a target framework for the future network structure based on global sales forecasts. This framework was used to create a detailed roadmap outlining various initiatives. For example, a new service hub will be established in Singapore to supply the Asia-Pacific growth region with Jenbacher spare parts. These pioneering logistics solutions now also benefit all Jenbacher Services’ customers.
